Bringing a puppy into your home is similar to adding a small baby to your household. They require time, patience, love, attention, and a "baby-proof" environment.
We ask that all our potential buyers seriously think about the commitment involved before buying a dog. Barring any unforeseen events, a dog will be part of your family for anywhere between ten and twenty years. The first year or two, they require extensive effort and patience to train as they grow from a puppy to a mature dog. There will be chewing, housebreaking, behavior issues, and so on to be dealt with. As easy as it is to fall in love with that cute puppy face, you must remember that they all grow up and everything that happens along the way.
There are also expenses to think about such as vet visits for vaccinations, spaying or neutering, as well as food, grooming and supplies. As breeders of these Bichons, we want to ensure your decision is one you will not regret because owning a dog wasn't what you expected. If and when you can say you are able to commit to all these things, then you are ready for a puppy.
